Hartfield is proud to support local authors based in Central Illinois. As a small store, however, it is impossible for us to accept every request for a consignment position. We prefer to give priority to authors whose books appeal to local interests, although we will give equal consideration to all books submitted. Selections will be made based on knowledge of and experience with the bookstore's inventory, customer base and sales history.

Please provide all of your contact information (name, address, email, phone number) with your initial inquiry, as this is how we will reach out to you with next steps, if we are able to carry your book.
We appreciate sample copies of your work, but please note that if we choose not to accept your book for sale, we will donate or give it away; we are unable to return sample copies.
If we accept your book for sale, we will ask you to promote that your book is available for sale at Hartfield Book Company. This is possible through a variety of channels, including your website and other social media presence, contacting local media, and informing your family, friends, and other contacts.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept books for sale for any reason.
We are not responsible for any liabilities attached to the content of your book; author is solely responsible.
