Hartfield's book club meets once a month in the store, February through November. Each year, we select a broad theme to focus our selections. In 2019, our theme was "Reading Women," so all of the books we read were by female authors across a variety of genres (all of our 2019 picks are listed below).
Members are invited to a private Facebook group where information, supplementary material, and meeting logistics are shared. This group also provides an online forum for discussion, even if a member can't attend an in-person meeting. Purchase of the books in our store is not required; however, all members of the book club will have the opportunity to purchase the current month's selection from Hartfield at a 20% discount.
This year, we are offering two meeting days/times (both groups discuss the same book each month, so it's also possible to alternate between the two as your schedule allows). Meetings occur on the third Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. and on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Check our Facebook page or ask a bookseller for details.
